MAGNETS
The Magnets, often described as an a cappella super group, were instrumental in revolutionising the British a cappella scene in the 2000s. Taking their inspiration from groups like the Pickets they hauled a cappella into the present day by adding masterful beatboxing and contemporary vocal harmonies to current chart hits to create the barbershop sextet for the modern day. Going on to secure a record deal with EMI records in 2000, The Magnets went on to record numerous albums as well as touring along side artists including Lisa Stansfield, Bryan Adams and Tom Jones. In 2016, a few of their original members were leaving the group, so a remodel was in order and fortunately for me I was selected to be part of the new updated Magnets line up. My time with the Magnets saw me perform all over the world, in sold out, five star reviewed shows, “Audiocity” “Can you feel it” and “Naked 80’s”both Edinburgh and Adelaide Fringe festivals, and numerous shows and corporate events in London as well as world wide including Germany France, Spain,India, Middle East and China. My vocals can be heard on the 2017 Album “Can you feel it”(see below)
