The Flyboys

The FlyBoys a vocal quartet whose arrangements marry vintage and modern music in delicious four part harmony are often described as post modern swing sensation. I joined the group in 2018 and got an opportunity to sport a yellow tie, waistcoat and trademark brogue shoes and travel the world singing onboard Celebrity, Norwegian and Hapag Lloyd cruise lines. The brain child of Christopher Orton with arrangements by Christian Phillips first came to attention of the public with their appearance on BBC’s Pitch Battle going on to performing with the world famous Glenn Miller Orchestra in the US, to Edinburgh’s Festival Fringe to supporting Cliff Richard on his 60th Anniversary Tour. The Flyboys are masters of mashup and continue to wow audiences with effortless vocals and sublime harmonies, capturing the golden age of the big band with their unique twist.
